INNER CONTEMPLATION

Kyoto, Japan. In this rose-lined alley, the air is saturated with the sparkling scent of flowers in full bloom. Hidden at the end is the entrance to a surprisingly mineral Japanese garden, where stones, gravel and wood mark the path of life. An appearance of nakedness that opens the way to an inner journey. As if suspended between two worlds, your mind is elsewhere. In search of enlightenment.

I was inspired by the surprising dry gardens of Japan. I've transformed them into a dreamlike olfactory interpretation, where sensations are as present as the mineral and plant elements that make up the garden.
